The Chalet Fontanelle sits secluded in four acres of tranquil gardens and fountains, a few short steps from the natural wonder of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park and just seconds from lookouts and the start of some of the most spectacular walking trails in the Mountains.


The Chalet Fontanelle´s two deluxe executive suites offer privacy and spectacular views high amongst the tree tops.

The Garden Studio´s seclusion and private entrance into the extensive grounds are perfect for couples seeking some time alone.

One of the Blue Mountains´ most significant heritage properties, the Chalet Fontanelle stands on the Blue Mountains escarpment where in 1836 Charles Darwin chronicled his vision of the majestic Wentworth Falls plunging 1,500 feet into the Jamison Valley. A view he wonderfully described as "a grand bay or gulf thickly covered with forest, and showing headland behind headland as on a bold sea-coast - quite novel, and extremely magnificent."

The Chalet Fontanelle stands in 1.6 hectares (4 acres) of magnificent gardens that only a grand vision and a century can produce. Towering oaks, cedars, dogwoods and pines add dignity to a splendid rain garden with a focal point of formal roses on one side, and on the other an elegant fountain in keeping with the home's original name.
