Day 1: Alice Springs - Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride on these 'ships of the desert' (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon tour to Kata Tjuta where your Driver/Guide will escort you on a 2-3 hour walk among the domes to the Valley of the Winds lookout. This is one of the few areas of Kata Tjuta that Anangu (the local Aboriginal people) allow people to visit. (The walking path is rocky and requires a good level of fitness). Afterwards take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuta. Enjoy a traditional Aussie barbecue dinner, including complimentary Australian wine. Vegetarian meals are available upon request at time of booking. After dinner an AAT Kings staff member will indicate stars and constellations in the southern sky (weather permitting).

Day 2: Kings Canyon
An early start this morning to drive through sandhill country to Kings Canyon stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station (own expense) along the way. Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon to be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. The climb may take up to 3 hours and is for those with a good level of fitness. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we make our way back to Ayers Rock Resort.

Day 3: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight. Flight must be booked to depart after 1.30pm (airfare not included in tour price).
