Travel alongside the rugged West MacDonnell Ranges, stopping to visit John Flynn's grave at the base of the ranges. As the founder of Australia's Royal Flying Doctor Service, Reverend John Flynn is considered to be one of Australia's greatest outback heroes for his 'mantle of safety' provided to people living in the outback. Continue into the heart of the ranges where you explore the dramatic feature of Simpsons Gap. Keep a look out for elusive rock wallabies and other native wildlife. Arrive at majestic Angkerle (Standley Chasm). Walk through this five-metre break in the range, with its towering fiery red walls. Enjoy a picnic lunch with traditional Aussie billy tea and take in the stunning surrounding landscapes. After lunch head to the crest of Anzac Hill for panoramic views of the MacDonnell Ranges and Alice Springs. Transferred to hotel. Lx1
