Stay overnight in Kakadu National Park to experience a Jumping Crocodile Cruise then continue onto Katherine and stay overnight to view the 13 gorges of Nitmiluk National Park including the stunning Katherine Gorge. Return to Darwin for a day at Litchfield National Park.

Day 1.
Jumping Crocodile Cruise, Kakadu, Ubirr Rock Art Site, Bowali Visitor Centre

Depart Darwin and journey to the Adelaide River to join a Jumping Crocodile Cruise. Watch for wildlife and see the agility of saltwater crocodiles as they leap from the water. On entering Kakadu National Park, head to the ancient Aboriginal rock art sites at Ubirr to view the x-ray style paintings. There's time for a spectacular afternoon flight over the Arnhem Land Escarpment (own expense). Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre, learning more about Kakadu through the displays. Lx1

Day 2.
Nourlangie Rock, Yellow Water, Katherine
Stay: All Seasons Katherine

Discover the renowned Aboriginal art site at Nourlangie Rock and view the ancient works of art. Continue to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre before joining a wildlife cruise on Kakadu's famous Yellow Water billabong. Leaving Kakadu, travel through Pine Creek to the town of Katherine, renowned for the nearby Nitmiluk National Park. Lx1

Day 3.
Katherine Gorge Cruise, Leliyn (Edith Falls)

Today enter Nitmiluk National Park, which encompasses 13 gorges formed by the Katherine River cutting its way through the Arnhem Land plateau. Enjoy a guided dawn breakfast cruise between the sheer sandstone walls. Your guide will detail the region's flora and fauna and explain the significance of the gorge for the Aboriginal people of this region. Call into Nitmiluk Visitor Centre before continuing on to beautiful Leliyn, where there is time for a swim. Journey to Adelaide River and view the war cemetery.

Day 4.
Litchfield National Park, Tolmer Falls

Enter Litchfield National Park and see the picturesque double waterfall that forms Florence Falls, surrounded by rainforest. Continue to Tolmer Falls, stop for lunch (own expense). Take a refreshing swim in the rock pool at Wangi Falls or take a nature walk. Return to Darwin, arriving at approximately 6.00 p.m.
