Four Night Stay: Coral Princess Cruise Ship

Board the Coral Princess and cruise Trinity Bay, settle in then enjoy a drink on the top deck as you travel north passing Double Island and Palm Cove. Dx1

Day 2 Sat.
Cooktown, Great Barrier Reef

Arrive in Cooktown this morning. Visit the historical museum featuring original artefacts from Captain Cook's ship - Endeavour. Perhaps tour the Botanic Gardens, where you may catch a glimpse of some native Australian wildlife. Continue to the Great Barrier Reef for a glass-bottom boat tour over the coral gardens. Day 3 Sun.
Lizard Island

This morning awake moored beside beautiful Lizard Island. The energetic may join our guides for a walk to 'Cooks Look' on the island's peak for views over the World Heritage-listed reef. The shallow waters of Lizard Island's fringing reef offer some fantastic snorkelling opportunities. Later, cruise to Ribbon Reef No. 9. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Day 4 Mon.
Ribbon Reef No. 3, Rachel Carson Reef

Today visit two of the most spectacular sections of the reef, Ribbon Reef No. 3 and Rachel Carson Reef. Explore the coral gardens and marine life with guided snorkelling and a glass-bottom boat tour. A marine biologist will explain the natural history and evolution of the reef. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Day 5 Tue.
Cairns
Stay: The Hotel Cairns, one block from the famous Esplanade

This morning after breakfast disembark the cruise at Trinity Wharf, Cairns. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure in tropical Cairns. Bx1

Cape York, Thursday Island
Stay: Thursday Island, Jardine Motel

This morning fly from Cairns to Horn Island then transfer to Thursday Island and your hotel. Spend the day relaxing or exploring Thursday Island. This evening join your fellow travellers for dinner. Bx1 Dx1

Day 7 Thur.
Thursday Island, Bamaga
Two Night Stay: Resort Bamaga

Tour Thursday Island. Once a base for pearling luggers that operated throughout the area, today it's a multicultural outpost and one of 100 islands that make up the Torres Strait Islands. Cruise the blue waters of Endeavour Strait to the mainland. You then travel to Bamaga. Bx1 Dx1

Explore Cape York Peninsula

This morning journey to the tip of remote Cape York Peninsula - the Australian mainland's most northerly point - a great photo opportunity out over the Torres Strait. This afternoon enjoy the wilderness surroundings. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Fruit Bat Falls, Bramwell Station
Stay: Bramwell Station or Moreton Station

Travel south through the lands of the Injinoo Aboriginal people. Visit beautiful Fruit Bat Falls before travelling to Bramwell Cattle Station, the most northerly working cattle station in Australia. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Weipa
Stay: Weipa, Albatross Hotel Resort

Travel to Weipa, on the Gulf of Carpentaria. Enjoy a tour of the Weipa Bauxite Mine, the largest of its kind in the world. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Day 11 Mon.
Coen, Weipa, Gulf Country
Stay: Musgrave Telegraph Station or Lotus Bird Lodge

Drive through Mungkan Kandju National Park. Journey on to explore the old goldmining town of Coen, which is situated on the telegraph line that ran from Laura to Bamaga. Then continue to the historic Musgrave Telegraph Station. Bx1 Lx1 Dx1

Lakefield National Park

Bloomfield Track, Cooktown
Stay: Cape Tribulation, Ferntree Rainforest Lodge

Discover the port and fishing town of Cooktown. Visit the James Cook Museum and historic cemetery. Visit Nature's Powerhouse in the Botanic Gardens. Travel along the remote Bloomfield Track to Cape Tribulation, the only place in Australia where the rainforest meets the sea. Tonight enjoy your Farewell Dinner. Bx1 Dx1

Day 14 Thur.
Daintree River Cruise, Cairns
Three Night Stay: The Hotel Cairns, close to the CBD and the Esplanade

Travel to World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. Cruise along the Daintree River searching for saltwater crocodiles. Follow the beautiful coastal road to Cairns. Bx1

Kuranda Scenic Railway
