Your Villa is one of just fifteen hidden in the rainforest.

The view of the sunlight dancing across the water from your balcony is almost hypnotic.

The superb seafood is always as fresh as if you caught?it yourself.

If it's not fresh, it's not on the menu. There are many ways to fill the day but a beach picnic comes highly recommended.

Bedarra Island often has more beaches than guests, so your privacy is guaranteed. You'll never have to share the lush rainforest and calming tropical bays with more than 15 other couples.

And after cooling off in the the pool, the legendary Bedarra Island Resort bar offers one of Australia's finest selections of wine, spirits and imported beers. It's all included in your tariff, so have whatever takes your fancy.

Bedarra Island Resort Facilities
An open terrace restaurant overlooks the cascading pool in an intimate setting for a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which are included in your tariff.

The menu is varied and changes daily. Breakfast is available from 8.00am, lunch from 1.00pm and dinner from 7.00pm.

Gourmet picnic hampers for beachside outings are available on request daily.

Bar and Lounge
The resort's relaxed lounge features our well known self service open bar which is comprehensively stocked with Australian and imported beers, along with a quality selection of Australian wines, spirits and liqueurs.

The bar is open 24 hours.

Bedarra Island Resort Location
Bedarra Island is part of the Family Group of Islands, located off the Tropical North Queensland coast. Midway between Townsville and Cairns. Close to neighbouring Dunk Island.

Climate
Tropical climate with an average year round temperature of approximately 29? Celsius (85? Fahrenheit).

Bedarra Island Access
Daily scheduled flights are available from the major capital cities to Cairns Domestic Airport (CNS). This is followed by a scenic 45 minute flight to Dunk Island (DKI)where the Bedarra Island launch awaits you on the jetty for a 15 minute transfer to your private island.
International flights arrive direct into Cairns International Airport (CNS) with transfers to the domestic terminal.
A variety of charter flight services are available for that special itinerary
Water transfers can be arranged from the mainland township of Mission Beach.

Please note passengers on connecting flights to Dunk/Bedarra island may be limited to one suitcase and one small carry-on item of hand luggage each. A limit of 23kg applies (subject to loading restrictions). Luggage storage is available at Cairns Airport. Transtate Airlines (BH) operates the flights between Cairns and Dunk Island.

Bedarra Island Resort Room Information.

15 private, freestanding Villas are available in 4 different styles. There are 6 Double Storey Villas, 3 Split Level Villas, 2 Hillside Villas, 2 Pavilion Villas and 2 Point Villas. Each has been built around the natural landscape with the rainforest providing privacy between each Villa. All Villas feature a private balcony, separate living area and a casual charm all their own. Premium Villas feature magnificent ocean views.

Bedarra Island Hillside Villa
Hillside Villas are situated in elevated locations, not far from the beachfront and just behind the central resort facilities and restaurant. Set into the lush tropical rainforest each Villa offers filtered inhibited water views. The double storey layout provides a sleeping area with a king size bed, bathroom with separate bath at ground level and the upper level features a living area with every facility you should need.

Bedarra Island Split Level Villa
The bedroom and living areas are separated in a casual format, allowing the King size bed to be separated in a twin configuration if desired. Split level villas are nestled amongst lush tropical rainforest overlooking the the resort and neighbouring islands.

Bedarra Island Double Storey Villa
A unique design, featuring upstairs lounge, double balconies and lower level bedroom and bathroom. Double story villas are located close to the beachfront, central resort facilities and set in the rainforest.

Bedarra Island Pavilion Villa
Removed from the main resort area, the two Pavilions are set in exclusive, private locations with stunning views over Wedgerock Bay. The spacious sleeping area overlooks the rainforest and features a custom designed king size bed, large walk-in wardrobe and a separate over sized bathroom with shower and deep bath. An expansive and beautifully appointed living area offers every facility you should need. A large outdoor area and deck incorporates a private heated plunge pool and daybed.**

Bedarra Island Point Villa
Each Point is located in a superb elevated beachside position offering stunning panoramic ocean views over Hernandia Bay. Each feature an elevated sleeping area, a separate bathroom with shower and free standing bath and a separate sunken lounge area, with comfortable sofa and armchairs and every facility you should need. A large outdoor deck, perfectly positioned to ensure complete privacy, features a luxurious daybed, sun chairs or lounges and private heated plunge pool.
