There's something for everyone at O'Reilly's. Let the 4WD bus do the work as you head out to one of many scenic spots where we have the traditional 'boiling the billy'.

If you are feeling more energetic, you can escape for the day on your own or with one of the O'Reilly clan, grab a walking map, packed lunch and head for the hills.

Short nature walks and our famous tree top walk are accessible to all, while the longer walks take advantage of an excellent track system.

In the evening, take a guided walk to the glow-worms, see luminous fungi in season, and go spotlighting Pademelons, Possums and Gliders.

Or let Rhelma, Bernard O'Reilly's daughter, take you on an historic journey as she relates the adventures of early mountain life, including the remarkable rescue story of the Stinson air disaster. Bush dances, sing-a-longs and cliff top campfire nights are all part of the O'Reilly scene. Or perhaps the log fire beckons you for a yarn with a friend.

WILD LIFE
Making friends with the wildlife comes naturally at O'Reilly's as their expert guides introduce you to our native fauna and flora. Birds abound in a startling array of colour.

Crimson Rosellas and King Parrots are your constant companions as they look for a free meal. And remember to keep your blue valuables secure when you meet 'Jock the Thief' - the Satin Bower Bird.

The magnificent Regent Bower Bird and Albert's Lyrebird are just two more reasons O'Reilly's is considered a top bird spot. In fact, our annual bird week in November is the most popular in Australia.

EQUIPPED FOR THE EXPERIENCE
Evenings in the mountains can be cool, even in summer. So remember to pack warm clothes. Sturdy walking shoes are a must for intending hikers. A torch for night walks will be handy. And of course camera and binoculars will help you make the most of this special holiday. Their store supplies a wide range of maps, films, personal items and souvenirs.

O'Reilly's Rainforest Guesthouse? Retreat Accommodation
We learned a long time ago that not all guests are looking for the same sort of adventures and experiences. And so it is with accommodation.

Today O'Reilly's offers a range of guest rooms to cater to all tastes, from the grandeur of the luxurious Canopy Suites through the most popular Mountain View Rooms to the simple yet comfortable Garden View. Most rooms also take advantage of the magnificent mountain views.

Two Bedroom Canopy Suites
One of the former O'Reilly family homes has been transformed into two stunning guest units. The two units are simply referred to as 'Vince' and 'Lona' who, as second-generation family members, raised their ten children in the house and contributed so much to the guesthouse for over 40 years.

Each unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a separate living room and two way fireplace. The large decks, complete with private spa bath, look out onto the rugged McPherson Ranges to the west and provide uninterrupted views of the most magical of sunsets.

Polished timber floors, cedar shutters and handcrafted Queensland Maple furniture complement the warmth and character of the building. A mini bar and stereo in the living area add the final touches.

The main bedroom of each boasts a spectacular king-size four poster bed and is fully ensuited. The bedroom also has a large double spa with views to the ranges. The second bedroom features a king size ensemble bed that can be transformed into two large single beds if required.

One Bedroom Canopy Suites
Three suites adjoin the luxuriant rainforest canopy and offer twice the space of our standard Mountain View rooms.

A comfortable living area features recycled timber flooring, lounge chairs, audio system, library and bar. The suites have four large balconies with spectacular views of the rainforest foliage and western mountain ranges.

A spacious bedroom features a king-size four-poster bed, sofa and a warming fireplace. To top it all off, the bathroom has a spa bath with views through a full-length picture window of the breathtaking mountain scenery. Put yourself in this picture!

Mountain View Rooms
All Mountain View Rooms boast a private balcony where you can relax and soak up the magnificent views to the McPherson ranges.

Our most popular style of room, the spacious high-set rooms feature exposed beams, natural timbers, raked ceilings and private bathroom. Most rooms contain a queen and single bed, whilst six family rooms also contains additional bedding for two extra guests, and two are equipped for wheelchair occupation.

Garden View Rooms
These motel style rooms feature red cedar shutters, hand crafted Queensland Maple furniture and timber queen-sized beds. All six rooms have private ensuites and views of the gardens around the guesthouse.

Bithongabel Single Rooms
The Bithongabel Single Rooms feature a single bed, tea and coffee making facilities, small bar fridge, private bathroom and private balcony with views to the West.

Mountain Villas Accommodation
The Perfect Escape....
O'Reilly's Mountain Villas consist of 48 luxury, contemporary, architecturally designed 2 & 3 bedroom villas set amongst a spectacular rainforest and mountain setting, surrounded by Lamington National Park.

Each villa is fully self-contained with full kitchen and feature modern designer decor interiors (including high definition LCD TV) opening onto expansive private decks with outdoor spa bath and BBQ.

Extensive use of natural timbers and large fold-back doors provide a design where the natural surroundings flow into the living space and connects with the interiors.
