Set amongst a cottage garden in a quiet tree lined street, multi-award winning Holmwood Guesthouse is the perfect accompaniment to the many natural attractions on Phillip Island, offering a choice of B&B accommodation within an easy drive from Melbourne.

Your hosts, Serena and Eric, have transformed Holmwood Guesthouse into a stylish boutique B&B retreat with three elegantly appointed rooms and two luxurious self-contained spa cottages, all within walking distance of the Cowes main swimming beach and shopping centre, and just a ten minute drive to the Penguin Parade, Grand Prix Circuit or wineries. Naturally all have ensuite bathrooms, TV, split system heating/cooling and complimentary broadband internet, and the cottages also have wood fires in winter.

Depending on the season, breakfast is either served in the dining room near the open fire or out on the sunny deck. The dining room is licensed, so drinks and local wines are available, and for group bookings a special dinner menu can be arranged for a private dining experience. The menu is prepared fresh daily according to availability of produce and guests' preferences.

Guesthouse accommodation
In the Guesthouse you can choose from three guest bedrooms, all with ensuite bathroom. The high ceilings, fretwork and ceiling roses retain the atmosphere of a Federation era, whilst modern day facilities ensure you can relax in total comfort! As you sink into the deep comfortable chairs in the guest lounge, feeling a tad full after a hearty breakfast, you may wonder: should you go for a walk along the beach or stay here in front of the open fire with the morning paper, or a good book?

Cottage accommodation
These luxurious cottages are of an open plan design and are perfect romantic retreats for those wanting extra privacy; with separate courtyard access, they are self-contained and have queen bed, lounge with wood fire (winter only), TV, Hi Fi, VCR, broadband access point, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchenette, and bathroom with spa bath. Landscaped individual courtyard gardens and private verandahs continue the cottage theme, making you feel like you are "a world away!"

The Toile Room
This room will transport you to a French country house. Decorated with a timeless, classic toile de jouey. Tall tapered bedside lamps, be-jewelled chandelier overhead, a sumptious bed and deep bath to soak in.. The sun drenched front porch is perfect for lounging back with a book or having some afternoon tea. Perfection for that second honeymoon.

The Jane Austen Room
This room is tasteful quietly elegant, furnished in a traditional English country house style, complete with crisp floral chintz, bullion fringed drapes and white washed furniture. In spring you can view the abundant red and pink poppies from you window. Relaxed, fresh and inviting.

The Nelson Room
The theme is charcoal and ivory. The look is more contempory, streamlined casual and comfortable with luxurious king size bed and your own private sunny courtyard.
