Itinerary

Day 1.
Purnululu (Bungle Bungle) National Park, Cathedral Gorge, Piccaninny Creek
Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Stay in tented cabins with private ensuites at Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge, Purnululu National Park

Take a scenic flight to one of Australia's last frontiers, World Heritage-listed Purnululu National Park. Marvel at the majesty of Cathedral Gorge as you test out the acoustics of this natural amphitheatre. Walk up the dry bed of Piccaninny Creek for a close inspection of the striped domes. A local guide will bring the history of the domes to life, describing both their cultural and geological significance. Lx1 Dx1

Day 2.
Echidna Chasm, Mini Palms Gorge

After a home-style breakfast this morning, take an easy hike along a Livistona palm-fringed trail into magical Echidna Chasm. With sunlight streaming down through narrow cracks in the towering rocks, this is an ideal opportunity for some spectacular photography. Then, after a picnic lunch, walk along an ancient river bed to pretty Mini Palms Gorge, where the afternoon sun creates a beautiful ethereal glow. This afternoon, take a scenic flight back to Kununurra, where your tour concludes. Bx1 Lx1
