East Kimberley Tours 1 Night 2 Days Bungle Bungle Fly in/Fly out

An extensive 2 Day Tour of the Bungle Bungles including scenic flights in and out.

Departs: Pick up from your accommodation at approx. 5.30am
Returns: to Kununurra approx. 5.00pm.

DAY 1: Feel the vastness and diversity of the East Kimberley by enjoying an early morning scenic flight over Diversion Dam, the prominent Ord River, the mighty Osmond Ranges and orbit over the Bungle Bungle Range.

On arrival at the Bungles you will transfer to an air-conditioned 4WD and travel to our Bungle Bungle Bush Camp for your choice of a superb continental or cooked breakfast. You will then travel to the Northern Gorges while our guides entertain you with their knowledge on the Bungle Bungle history. While walking the Mini Palms trail, be taken aback by the incredible beauty exhibited. Let our guides share their vast knowledge on the many species of flora and fauna.

After a relaxing picnic lunch, enjoy a second walk through the distinctive Echidna Chasm where you will be completely enveloped by the massif, with the only light filtering in from above. Return to Camp for a glorious sunset and refreshments with a fine choice of cuisine being served later in the evening.

Moderate to difficult 5 km walk into Mini Palms Gorge.
Easy to moderate 2 km walk into Echidna Chasm.

DAY 2: Next morning after another enjoyable breakfast, travel by 4WD to commence the Cathedral Gorge walk and see the Beehive Domes soaking up the morning sun. Further on, see the amazing formation of a natural amphitheatre where you will experience a memorable picnic lunch.

After returning to the 4WD our guide will transfer you to the airstrip where you will complete your scenic flight over the Ragged Ranges and Argyle Diamond Mine, currently open cut but developing their underground mining.

This tour will see you picked up from your accommodation on day one approx. 5.30am, arriving back in Kununurra on day two at approx. 5.00pm.

Easy to moderate 3 km walk into Cathedral Gorge.

Torch, small water bottle, toiletries, camera and plenty of film, medication if required, small soft carry bag with limited clothing weighing no more than 8kg.

Hat, joggers or rubber soled boots, sunscreen in the hotter months, light clothing, cotton or cotton mix is best.
