El Questro Wilderness Park is without doubt, one of the world's unique holiday destinations. A million acres in size, El Questro is located on the eastern perimeter of the Kimberley region, and extends for approximately 80 kilometres into the heart of the region.

El Questro is located in The Kimberley region in far North Western Australia. It is one of the world's last unspoilt frontiers - an ancient land extending from Broome in the South West to Kununurra and Wyndham near the Northern Territory border.

The landscape is diverse to say the least - from rugged ranges and broad tidal flats, to rainforest pockets, gorges and waterfalls. The Kimberley is a very special place, where you'll feel a sense of discovery at every turn.

Animal, fish and bird life congregate in the rivers and waterholes, of which El Questro boasts four major river systems - from fresh water springs to the lazy salt water estuaries in the northern part of the property.

Voyages El Questro Wilderness Park is open from 1 April - 31st October each year.

El Questro offers independent accommodation facilities, each different in style and budget - from the internationally acclaimed El Questro Homestead, Emma Gorge Resort, to Station Township with its Family Bungalows and Riverside Camping.

El Questro Activites
El Questro offers a diverse range of activities for the Ecotourist, Agritourist and Sportstourist alike - whether it's photographing butterflies, fishing for barramundi or 4-wheel driving. El Questro is all about once-in-a-lifetime experiences!

Experience boating on the Chamberlain Gorge, or the relaxing thermal pools of Zebedee Springs. Horse trekking is a fabulous way to observe all kinds of Kimberley wildlife. Accompanied by your El Questro Ranger, you will be introduced to a wide variety of animals, birds and maybe even a saltwater crocodile! A scenic helicopter flight through canyons and gorges, past waterfalls, caves offers unrivalled views of this awesome country.

For all activities involving walking we suggest that you will need a reasonable level of fitness and wear appropriate, comfortable footwear to undertake these activities. If in doubt, please check with our Rangers at the property.

Emma George Resort

Hidden within the fiery red of El Questro's Cockburn Ranges, lies the spectacular Emma Gorge Resort. Conveniently located close to some of El Questro's major attractions only two kilometres off the Gibb River Road, and one hour from Kununurra.

Emma Gorge Resort is a great place for an outback adventure with the whole family. A swimming pool and lounge area shaded by native trees and landscaped gardens lies on the banks of Emma Gorge Creek.

Take a short stroll from the base of the gorge past butterfly-filled trees and vines to a huge turquoise waterhole, perfect for swimming, and the ideal setting for a relaxing massage under the permanent droplet waterfalls.

The Station Township
The Station Township is the central hub of El Questro Wilderness Park, offering two types of accommodation - Bungalow and Riverside Camping.

El Questro Bungalows
The Bungalows are located at the Station Township area near the banks of the Pentecost River, at the hub of El Questro Wilderness Park.

Ideal for those travellers who want to be at the centre of the action and close to all El Questro's activities, the Bungalows are great for families, as well as those who prefer the little extra comforts of home.

Providing air-conditioned comfort with private facilities, a number of Bungalows are stylishly decorated with polished floorboards and some with balconies overlooking the river.

Conveniently located next to the Steakhouse Restaurant and the Swinging Arm Bar, the Bungalows overlook the Pentecost River, and are just a short stroll from a peaceful swimming hole.

Riverside Camping
El Questro has two distinctly different ways to enjoy your camping experience. The first is at a location known as "Black Cockatoo", which is central to the guest showers, bathrooms and the Station Store. Here, you will meet and mix with other outback adventurers, all travelling with their own camping gear.

Alternatively, you can choose from a selection of private sites, all secluded from other campers. These sites are approximately a ten minute drive from the central facilities building, which is available for use at no extra charge. Riverside campsites are along the Pentecost River close to El Questro Station Township.

Which campsite you choose is up to you. Simply decide when you check in at the Station Store upon arrival.
